 COMMUNITY CULTURAL LIAISON

Summary:

This unique position is open to an individual member of the Neskonlith Indian Band. This position would require sitting in on meetings with Electric Love Music Festival staff and offering feedback on how we as an organization are meeting the standard set in the proposal and feedback from Chief and Council, along with other community members.

Examples of Duties:

  • Attend WIP meetings (Virtually or In-Person)

  • Accompany festival site visits

  • To support and advise departments across the organization to bring Secwepemc consciousness to all aspects of the Electric Love Music Festival.

  • Assist to inform the local Indigenous community of potential employment and business opportunities.

  • Liaise with Chief and Council 


Specific Work Capabilities:

    • Basic Computer and Technology skills

  • Interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution

  • An interest in work presented in the public realm and experience with community engagement is desirable

  • Established relationships within the local Neskonlith Indian Band community
